Burnout en profesores universitarios : un estudio correlativo con variables de personalidad y salud mental positiva ocupacional

.En este trabajo se estudian las variables grados de Burnout, Personalidad y Salud Mental
Positiva Ocupacional (SMPO), en una muestra de profesores universitarios españoles,
contando a su vez con una muestra mexicana para la SMPO. Aplicando respectivamente
las escalas MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) el NEO-FFI, en sus variables de
Neuroticismo, Amabilidad y Responsabilidad, y el SMPO-40 en su totalidad.
Pretendemos detectar si se pueden establecer relaciones estadísticamente significativas
entre las dimensiones de cada uno de estos tests con el síndrome de Burnout. Algunos
resultados podrían indicar que existe una relación entre un nivel alto de Neuroticismo en
Personalidad con la dimensión de Cansancio Emocional en Burnout, mientras que todas
las dimensiones de este guardan relación con los resultados del SMPO-40. Pero nos
faltan recursos para poder comprobar que esto no se deba a que miden constructos
similares.

.In this paper we study the variables of the degrees of Burnout, Personality and Positive
Ocupational Mental Health (SMPO) in a sample of spanish university lecturers, having
also access to another Mexican sample which had been tested with SMPO. Applying
respectively the scales MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory), the NEO-FFI in it´s
dimensions of Neuroticism, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness, and the SMPO-40 in
it´s totality.
Our objective is to detect if it´s possible to significantly associate the different
dimensions of this tests with the Burnout syndrome. Some of the results might show a
relation between a high Neuroticism level in Personality and the Emotional Exhaustion
variable in Burnout, while all of it´s dimensions share a commonness with the results
offered by the SMPO-40. But we lack the resources to test that this similarities are not
due to how their constructs are posed
