Vivimos en una época que ya ha sido denominada la cuarta revolución industrial, y que trae nuevos conceptos como el internet de las cosas o el blockchain, siendo esta última una tecnología que ha causado grandes expectativas. Surgida de la criptomoneda Bitcoin, como una alternativa en el sector financiero, el blockchain no solo se esta asentando en este ámbito, sino que se ha ido expandiendo a otros lugares, en los que sus características se espera que aporten valor
Con este trabajo se va primero a analizar esta tecnología y luego se va a intentar aplicarla a un caso práctico en una start-up, tratando de mostrar la potencial utilidad de esta tecnología. Se diseñará un plan estratégico y de negocio de una start-up que va a operar en el sector educativo, intentando analizar la viabilidad del proyecto.

We live in a period that has been named as the Forth Industrial Revolution, which brings new concepts such as the Internet of Things or blockchain, and this last one has caused a lot of expectations. The blockchain born from the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, as an alternative in the financial sector, and blockchain hasn´t only grown here, but it has also expanded to other places, where its though its characteristics can give value.
This paper will first analyze this technology, and then will try to apply the technology to a practical case in a start-up, trying to show the potential use of this technology. A strategical and business plan will be designed for a start-up emplaced in the educational sector, trying to analyze its viability.
