Beguinas, beatas, monjas y terciarias: modelos femeninos de reforma franciscana (ca. 1400-1517)

Con este trabajo analizamos los distintos modelos de reforma franciscana femenina documentados en un marco urbano local, Córdoba, entre las primeras noticias en torno a 1400 y 1517, fijando una cronología evolutiva. Partimos de la necesidad de conocer dichos modelos atendiendo a las tipologías de los espacios de espiritualidad que generaron, sus orientaciones carismáticas y sus posibles vínculos con los franciscanos. Valoramos la compleja evolución de las reformas y la incidencia femenina, tanto en el desarrollo de la Conventualidad y la Observancia como en su enfrentamiento. Es palpable el activo compromiso mostrado por las religiosas en estos procesos y su afán por compartir con los varones en clave de fraternidad, pero también, según contextos, por abrir ámbitos de autonomía. Asimismo, el interés de conventuales y observantes por ellas. Otra nota importante es el gran influjo que la espiritualidad jerónima ha ejercido sobre el reformismo franciscano hispano en su trayectoria bajomedieval.

This article analyzes the different models of feminine Franciscan reform that are documented in the local urban framework of Córdoba by the first testimonies ca. 1400 and 1517 by laying out the chronology of their evolution. We begin with the need to know the different models by attending to the typologies of the spiritual spaces, their charismatic orientations, and their possible links with the Franciscans. We assess the complexity of the reforms and the feminine influence in their evolution within and confrontation with Conventual and Observants. This reveals the active commitment of the religious women in this process and their desire to share with men the charisms and processes in terms of fraternity, but also, according to different contexts, to open spaces of autonomy. It also explains the interest that both Conventuals and Observants had in them and shows the great influence Hieronymite spirituality exerted on the Hispanic Franciscan reforms of the Middle Ages.
