Adopción e identidad en familias con hijos biológicos

La adopción constituye un proyecto social cuyo objetivo principal es la protección del menor y la mejora de su calidad de vida. Para asegurar su beneficio, las familias adoptivas se someten a un periodo de preparación donde obtienen las herramientas necesarias que ayudarán a llevar a cabo el proyecto con éxito. La metodología empleada en el trabajo se ha basado en revisiones bibliográficas con el fin de obtener un mayor conocimiento en el campo de la adopción, partiendo de sus orígenes y explorando su desarrollo evolutivo hasta desembocar en el momento actual, en el cual la casuística de tipologías familiares ha adquirido mayor diversidad. Los padres no son los únicos elementos imprescindibles en el proceso, se deberá contar con el apoyo de todo el sistema familiar. De hecho, cada vez es mayor el número de familias que adoptan teniendo hijos biológicos, y estos, en gran medida, se hacen participes de lograr una buena adaptación familiar y establecer fuertes lazos afectivos.

Adoption constitutes a social project which main objective is the protection of minors, and the improvement of their quality of life. To ensure their benefit, adoptive families undergo a preparation period, where they obtain the necessary tools that will help them to carry out the project successfully. The methodology used in the work has been based on bibliographic reviews, in order to obtain a greater knowledge in the field of adoption, starting from its origins, and exploring its evolutionary development, until the end of it at the present time, in which the casuistry among family members has become more diverse. In addition, parents are not the only essential elements in this process, they must have the support of the entire family group cooperation. In fact, an increasing number of families are adopting a child although in some cases they already have biological children. Finally, this leads to envolve all the family to participate in the adaptation of new members by creating a good relationship between them,as well as establishing strong emtional ties.
