Etiquetas: this study carries out a detailed examination of noise pollution in the community of madrid during the unprecedented period of the covid-19 pandemic. using meticulously collected data from the noise measurement stations in the community of madrid and selected variables to reflect influences related to weather, holidays, and vehicle circulation restrictions, we have been able to create a detailed portrait of how the pandemic has altered noise patterns in the region. the application of a multiple regression model in the r software has allowed the identification and quantification of significant relationships between these variables and noise levels. at the same time, we have been able to underscore the impacts of noise pollution on the health and wellbeing of the population, an issue often overlooked in public debate but of growing importance. in addition, in order to facilitate an intuitive understanding of the impact of noise pollution, we have used the folium library in python for the visual representation of data and the results obtained. these spatial maps of the community of madrid have allowed to appreciate the differences more fully in noise levels by zones during the study period. this work makes a valuable contribution to understanding how confinement measures and vehicle restrictions can affect noise pollution, providing solid and quantifiable evidence that can be useful in urban planning and public policy decision-making. in summary, the study forcefully underlines the need to pay attention to the management of noise pollution, evidencing its importance for public health and overall social wellbeing. it highlights the need for greater awareness and action in this area, calling on all stakeholders to take steps to address this persistent but solvable urban problem., comunidad de madrid, lockdown, python.
