El mito en la literatura latinoamericana: relectura de el hablador de mario vargas llosa

En el presente artículo se propone una relectura de la novela El hablador de Mario Vargas Llosa desde el punto de vista de la mitocrítica. La novela, publicada en 1987, ha sido analizada desde diferentes perspectivas; incluso existe un trabajo sobre los mitos que aparecen en la obra. Sin embargo, recientemente, se observa un creciente interés en el mito en la literatura latinoamericana surgida a partir del siglo XX, conjuntamente con el avance en general de la disciplina de la mitocrítica. El enfoque de la mitocrítica se centra en cómo aparecen los mitos en el día de hoy y qué función tienen en el medio en donde aparecen. En esta línea se aborda el análisis de la novela comparando el tratamiento del mito con tendencias observadas en otras obras latinoamericanas.

This article proposes a new lecture of the novel El hablador by Mario Vargas Llosa from the point of view of myth criticism. The novel, published in 1987, has been analyzed from different points of view; there is even a work on the myths that appear in the work. However, recently, there has been a growing interest in myth in Latin American literature that emerged from the 20th century, also with the general advancement of the discipline of myth criticism. The approach of myth criticism focuses on how myths appear today and what function they have in the environment in which they appear. Along these lines, the analysis of the novel is approached, comparing the treatment of the myth with trends observed in other Latin American works.
