El fundamentalismo: la negación del próximo (desde la lectura de F. Rosenzweig)

El presente ensayo analiza el origen y las consecuencias del fundamentalismo, partiendo de la lectura de las obras y las cartas de Franz Rosenzweig. El término fundamentalismo no aparece en estos escritos, pero aun así, su estudio permite que nos acerquemos al análisis de este fenómeno. Rosenzweig analiza la relación de amor (entre los hombres y entre el hombre y Dios); también atiende especialmente al hombre concreto, al individuo: al reconocimiento del prójimo. La falta de amor y la negación del prójimo (su reducción) pueden comprenderse como el origen del fundamentalismo. Desde la filosofía de Rosenzweig, se propone una nueva forma de concebir la relación (con el hombre, con el mundo y con Dios), en la que el diálogo, el respeto a la diferencia y el amor al prójimo aparecen como centrales.

The following essay analyzes the origin and consequences of fundamentalism, starting from the reading of Franz Rosenzweig s works and letters. Even though the term fundamentalism is not used in these writings, through their study we can approach to the analysis of this phenomenon. Rosenzweig analyzes the love relationship (between men and between man and God); he also pays special attention to the concrete man, to the individual: to the acknowledgement of the other people. The lack of love and the refusal of the other people (their reduction) can be understood as the origin of fundamentalism. Franz Rosenzweig s philosophy proposes a new way of conceiving the relationship (between men, between the man and the world and between the man and God), whose main aspects are dialogue, the respect of the difference and the love to the other people.
