Proceso de evaluación de ESG en activos de infraestructuras

El presente trabajo de fin de máster se realiza en colaboración con la gestora de fondos Bestinver Gestión S.G.I.I.C. en la que el alumno realizó sus prácticas curriculares de Ingeniería. Desde la gestora de fondos del grupo Acciona alineado con su empresa matriz ha decidido apostar claramente por la inversión en compañías y activos sostenibles y cuyo objetivo sea tanto la creación de riqueza como la ayuda al progreso ambiental, social y de buen gobierno. Por lo tanto, y con el objetivo de garantizar que las infraestructuras en las que se inviertan cumplan con todos los requisitos que lo caractericen dentro de las mejores prácticas, es necesario considerar una serie de elementos de sostenibilidad en todos sus ámbitos ya sea ambiental, social y de gobernanza para que los proyectos de esta tipología puedan tener un impacto muy positivo. Como consecuencia, se presenta el desarrollo y diseño de una metodología para identificar, analizar y gestionar los principales riesgos en materia de sostenibilidad ambiental, social y de buen gobierno en los activos de infraestructuras que permitan tanto la toma de decisiones de inversión, así como la monitorización y desempeño de estos activos a lo largo de todo su ciclo de vida

This master's thesis is carried out in collaboration with the fund manager Bestinver Gestión S.G.I.I.I.C., where the student did his engineering internship. The fund manager of the Acciona group, aligned with its parent company, has decided to invest in sustainable companies and assets whose objective is both the creation of wealth and the support of environmental, social and good governance progress. Therefore, and with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructures in which it invests meet all the requirements that characterize it within the best practices, it is necessary to consider a series of elements of sustainability in all areas, whether environmental, social and governance, so that projects of this type can have a very positive impact. As a result, we present the development and design of a methodology to identify, analyze and manage the main risks in terms of environmental, social and governance sustainability in infrastructure assets that allow both the investment decision making, as well as the monitoring and performance of these assets throughout their life cycle.
