La fibromialgia, una nueva perspectiva de los tratamientos alternativos

La fibromialgia es una enfermedad crónica reumatológica que afecta silenciosamente a un gran número de personas a nivel mundial, mayormente mujeres de mediana edad. Es reconocida desde hace relativamente poco tiempo, y cursa con unos síntomas muy diversos que afectan todas las áreas del paciente y pueden llegar a ser incapacitantes, además de estar relacionados con otras patologías. Se cree que los múltiples factores de riesgo llegan a ser los propios desencadenantes. Su fisiopatología y etiología sigue incompleta, a pesar de una gran búsqueda, no existe ninguna anormalidad ni conjunto de anormalidades concretas. Para su diagnóstico, no existe ninguna prueba clínica concluyente, éste se basa en una exploración física, por lo que no se puede diagnosticar objetivamente, y debido a esto, no llega a ser muy creíble por la mayoría del personal sanitario. No hay un tratamiento aprobado para la fibromialgia, debido a su complejidad y la presencia de múltiples síntomas, por lo que se trata de aliviar los diversos síntomas a partir de tratamientos farmacológicos y no farmacológicos.
El objetivo es dar a conocer esta enfermedad en la que la enfermería podría llegar a tener un papel muy importante, por eso, se evaluará la eficacia de tratamientos farmacológicos frente a no farmacológicos, demostrando la efectividad de estos últimos y la gran importancia del futuro rol de enfermería.

It is thought that the multiple factors may be the triggering points. Its physiopathology and etiology are still incomplete, despite a long research, any abnormality or group of abnormalities exist. For its diagnosis, there is no exact clinical trial, therefore it is based on a physical examination, that means it can not have an objective diagnosis, and due to this, it is not very accurate for many physicians. There is no treatment approved for fibromyalgia, due to its complexity and multiple symptoms, therefore, the main point it is to treat the multiple symptoms with drug and non-drug treatments.
The objective it is to give to know this disease and that nurses arrive to have a huge and very important roll, that’s why, the efficacy of drug and non-drug treatments will be evaluated to prove the effectivity of the nondrug treatments and the great importance of the nursing role in the future.
