Integrating innovative therapies into the french healthcare system: an empirical approach through ANTI-PD-1 and ANTI-PD-L1 immunotherapy

The integration of innovative therapies is a recurring problem when we think about the future of the
French healthcare system. With many challenges ahead; technological, social, organizational,
ethical, financia!; issues that suggest of a complete overhaul of the current model. This paper will
focus on mapping these challenges through the analysis of immunotherapy's integration and its
impacts on the French healthcare system.
In this context, a framework for analyzing innovation and its issues in the medical field will be
presented. Thereafter, an explanation of immunotherapy, its mechanisms and its related challenges
will be presented. The question of its integration into the French healthcare system will be treated
based on interviews with professionals in this sector.
