El reciclaje y la gestión de los residuos como fuente de actividad económica

Este trabajo está orientado hacia un análisis de la economía circular, mediante el cual se expondrá la importancia de implementar las diferentes formas existentes de modificar el sistema productivo. Estas modificaciones se implementarían con el objetivo de maximizar el periodo de vida útil de los productos, reduciendo así, el numero de residuos generados. Debido al creciente número de residuos y a la disminución de recursos disponibles, se enfatizará la importancia de la creación de empresas cuyos modelos de negocio están basados en un sistema circular, así como el análisis de algunas de esas compañías. Asimismo, se analizarán los hábitos de consumo y reciclado de la población y se propondrán diferentes alternativas para promover el reciclaje entre los jóvenes.

This paper is focused on analyzing the importance of circular economy, as well as the importance of applying the different ways of modifying the production system. These modifications need to be implemented in order to maximize the useful lifetime of the products, therefore reducing the amount of waste generated. Due to the increasing waste and the reduction of available resources, the importance of the creation of new businesses whose business models are based in a circular system will be emphasized, as well as the analysis of some of those companies. Moreover, the habits of consumption and recycling of the population will be analyzed, and different alternatives will be proposed to promote recycling in the younger generations.
