El mito y su función a través del tiempo.

Este trabajo se trata de un acercamiento al mito, enfocándolo desde lo que ha supuesto para diferentes culturas a lo largo de la historia y culminando con lo que supone hoy en día para nosotros.
Se empezará proporcionando varias definiciones de mito y rito, para posteriormente pasar a realizar un repaso histórico de las civilizaciones más importantes de nuestra historia y hacer una primera aproximación a la influencia de los mitos en dichas civilizaciones. Otros de los temas que trataremos, comparando varias mitologías en estos casos, serán los tipos de mitos que existen, el héroe y demás figuras arquetípicas y la relación de las distintas sociedades antiguas con la guerra. Terminaremos debatiendo sobre la función que cumple el mito en las personas y haciendo una revisión del mito en la actualidad.

This work is an approach to myth, focusing on what it has meant for different cultures throughout history and culminating with what it means today for us.
We will start by providing several definitions of myth and rite, and then we will go on to make a historical review of the most important civilizations in our history and make a first approach to the influence of myths in these civilizations. Other topics that we will deal with, comparing various mythologies in these cases, will be the types of myths that exist, the hero and other archetypal figures and the relationship of different ancient societies with war. We will conclude with a discussion on the role of myth in people and a review of myth today.
