Este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo destacar la importancia de un tipo de violencia muy invisibilizado, la violencia filioparental. Se trata de un tipo de violencia que sufren padres y madres de manera reiterada por sus hijos/hijas de forma tanto física, como psicológica o financiera (Pereira, 2006). Es un tema crucial por muchos motivos; primero, por todo lo que implica para los que la cometen a nivel jurídico, ya que el sistema judicial dirigido hacia los menores es distinto; segundo, por las causas que motivan a los que la ejercen, motivación que puede llegar a perpetrar una conducta violenta tanto dentro como fuera del hogar; tercero, por las secuelas que pueden llegar a presentar los padres; y cuarto, por todo lo que este acto, desestabiliza la estructura familiar (Cottrell y Monk, 2004).

The main objective of this work is to highlight the importance of a very invisible type of violence, child-parent violence. It is a type of violence that fathers and mothers suffer repeatedly by their sons / daughters in a physical, psychological or financial way (Pereira, 2006). It is a crucial issue for many reasons; First, because of all that it implies for those who commit it at the legal level, since the judicial system directed towards minors is different; second, due to the causes that motivate those who exercise it, a motivation that can lead to violent behavior both inside and outside the home; third, due to the consequences that parents may have; and fourth, for all that this act destabilizes the family structure (Cottrell y Monk, 2004).
