Diversidad funcional y el acceso a una vida independiente.

La discapacidad, a lo largo del tiempo ha ido teniendo grandes cambios en su
conceptualización. Empezó teniendo una visión de prescindencia, pasando por una visión
puramente asistencial, y ahora en la actualidad tiene una visión en la que las personas con
discapacidad son personas con habilidades, recursos y potencial, que se va a intentar
conseguir la mayor autonomía posible.
El acceso a recursos para las personas con algún tipo de discapacidad, y que necesitan
servicios y recursos para poder vivir de forma independiente es limitado, ya que no
existen suficientes recursos en España como personas que lo necesiten.
Es importante brindar una orientación sólida y un apoyo adecuado a las familias de las
personas con discapacidad, de modo que puedan conocer y acceder a los diversos
servicios y recursos disponibles. Este acompañamiento es fundamental en el proceso de
planificación del futuro de sus seres queridos, con el objetivo de garantizar la mejor
calidad de vida posible.
El propósito principal de este estudio se centra en examinar la participación del
Trabajador Social en el apoyo a personas con diversidad funcional en el acceso a recursos
que promuevan una vida independiente. Se prestará especial atención a la intervención,
los desafíos y las necesidades que enfrenta este colectivo en su vida diaria.

The definition of disability, over time, has faced great changes in its conceptualization. It
began with a vision of dispensation, going through a purely care vision, and now currently
has a vision in which people with disabilities are people with skills, resources and
potential, who will try to achieve the greatest possible autonomy.
The access to resources for people with some type of disability, who need and require this
type of services to be able to live independently is really limited, since there are not
enough resources in Spain.
It is important that the families of people with disabilities are aware of the different
services and resources that exist, through good guidance and good support while we help
the families in the process of planning the future of their relatives so that they can have
the highest quality of possible life.
The main objective of this work is based on being able to know how the intervention of
the figure of the Social Worker has to be in each different case, with the group of people
with functional diversity in order to achieve an independent life. Due to all we will focus
on the intervention, difficulties and needs of the each group in their day to day.
