Búsqueda de orígenes en adopción internacional. Estudio de caso : Etiopía

Este estudio refleja la complejidad del proceso que deben afrontar las personas adoptadas internacionalmente al tratar de conocer su historia preadoptiva y el sobreesfuerzo a realizar para avanzar en su proceso de identidad. Se presentan los distintos itinerarios que se pueden seguir para reencontrarse con sus orígenes, así como las principales motivaciones que les empujan a ello. Analizamos opciones vía organismos públicos y privados existentes en la Comunidad de Madrid destinados a la búsqueda de orígenes y los apoyos con los que se puede contar durante el proceso, haciendo hincapié en la importancia del trabajo de apoyo de agentes y entidades durante todo el proceso para para responder adecuadamente a las necesidades de las personas adoptadas de procedencia etíope.

The aim of this research is to expose the complexity of the process internationally adopted kids find themselves in when it comes to discovering their pre-adoptive history, and the over exertion they make to advance in their identity process. The different paths the person can take to reconnect with their origins are presented, as well as the needs and motivations that push them to do so. Different possibilities are analyzed, the ones offered by private and public bodies of the Community of Madrid, to carry out the search of origins and the support with which the people that have gone through the process have counted. Finally, the critical importance of the process from the beginning is argued, with the agents and corresponding entities involved, to provide appropriate answers to adopted people of Ethiopian origin.
