Análisis de las calificaciones ASG para la realización de inversiones responsables

Las dimensiones ambiental, social y de gobierno (ASG) son muy importantes en la actualidad. Los inversores financieros cada vez les dan más importancia a estos temas con el fin de conseguir un mundo mejor. Por ello existen empresas que dan una puntuación ASG a las empresas con el fin de que mejoren estas cuestiones. En este trabajo, por un lado, se han analizado los métodos de puntuación ASG que utilizan Refinitv y Bloomberg, para saber qué métricas destacan, en qué se parecen y en qué difieren. Por otro lado, se han creado unas carteras de inversión ASG con las 15 empresas del IBEX 35 que tienen mejor puntuación ASG de Refinitiv y Bloomberg. Por último, utilizando los terminales de Refinitiv y Bloomberg se han analizado las rentabilidades que se obtienen del último año para dichas carteras comparándolas con el índice de mercado y llegando a la conclusión de que las puntuaciones ASG no influyen en dicha rentabilidad.

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions are very important today. Financial investors increasingly attach more importance to these issues in order to make the world a better place. Therefore, there are companies that give an ESG score to companies in order to improve these issues. In this paper, on the one hand, the ESG scoring methods used by Refinitv and Bloomberg have been analysed to find out which metrics stand out, how they are similar and how they differ. On the other hand, ESG investment portfolios have been created with the 15 IBEX 35 companies with the best ESG scores from Refinitv and Bloomberg. Finally, using the Refinitiv and Bloomberg terminals, the returns obtained over the last year for these portfolios have been analysed, comparing them with the market index and reaching the conclusion that ESG scores do not influence these returns.
